Active infra-red barriers

The REM are active volumetric barriers for protecting and/or detecting people and objects.
Because of their specific detection features, they are especially suitable for use on automatic swing doors.

Operating mode

The REM sensors operate on the principle of suppression of the background. 
The background, which is beyond the range of the device, is “perceived” but ignored. 
To trigger the sensor, a signal is required, reflected off an object within the set detection range.  The sensor can be fitted moving or fixed, with protection and safety functions.

Ideal use

Detection sensor ideal for small environments where a restricted detection range is required (kitchen/dining room area in hotels, restaurants, etc.).
Anti-impact protection on swing doors.
Anti-crush and anti-shearing protection on sliding doors.
